I have always been a collector of records – love music like we all do. When MTV hit, I was mesmerized. I began listening to The Smiths, Siouxsie, New Order and Echo and the Bunnymen in junior high, then Skinny Puppy, Ministry, & Nitzer Ebb. A couple years later, I discovered Dallas night clubs. For those who were there, you know how amazing it was to enter The Starck Club, and dance at Empire. Club Clearview & Video Bar were also at the top of a short list of favorites for me. I loved the videos from the industrial and gothic music artists from back then.

I began to DJ in Dallas around 1990 and had the great fortune to work in many cool clubs around town.

For years, I wanted to ignite a club experience called PANOPTIKON, named from an early record by Diamanda Galas, “Panoptikon” is side A– she is one of my all-time favorites!

In May 2006, Shelley & Chris Martinez open the doors to this vision at Club ONE in Deep Ellum & suddenly Lord Byron’s PANOPTIKON was born. We have collaborated with may super cool people and continue to have an awesome night club experience every Friday.
